Dogs can become extremely ill very quickly in hot weather, imagine going out in 35 degree heat in a fur coat well that is what its like for them
signs that a dog is over heating are fast noisy breathing , panting , disorientation, collapse, convulsions, blue or red gums, vomiting and or diarrhea
North Herts Dog walkers take this very seriously so with this is mind we will
Restrict walks avoiding the hottest part of the day , if this is not possible let them out into a garden to relieve themselves
ensure they stay hydrated and plenty of fresh water is available
Encourage them to go where it is coolest, fans or cooling mats are helpful to keep them comfortable
Never, leave them in a car not even for a few minutes , dogs can die very quickly in a hot car
